Bona tezo de Plotki ~ Rumours from around the Bloc
Zsofia Korody is a teacher at one of the most prestigious full grammar schools in Hungary. Vanildo Siller, a tourism expert from Brazil, is currently enjoying cycling through London and earning some money at a hotel to fund his coming studies in Paris. Jean Codjo is from Benin. When he is not doing any research, he paints colourful traditional scenes from Benin onto black cloth.
Jarek Miklasz, from Bydgoszcz, Poland, works as a civil engineer. Saeed Ahmad is a Pakistani journalist and writer. Anders Grop, a bass player from Sweden, is now looking for a band to join in Berlin. The Swedish-born Professor Bengt-Arne Wickstroem teaches economics at Berlin's Humboldt-University . His son, David-Emil, is studying musicology and Scandinavian studies. Gavan Fantom from England is just finishing his informatics studies. Renato Corsetti works as a psycholinguist at the "La Sapienza"-University in Rome.
What do all these people have in common?

Mi havas nova aŭto! Mia malnova aŭto estis tre malsana. Mi bezonis elspezi pli ol £500 fiksi ĝin kaj la aŭto estis valoro eble £200... Neindis! Do,mi aĉetis novan aŭton, kaj mi estas tre kontenta kun ĝi. Estas Volkswagon Touran. Havas dizelmotoro kiel mia malnova 'Peugot 405' sed ĝi havas sep sidlokojn. Estas tre komforta kaj mi surpriziĝas kiel rapide veturas. Ankaŭ, estas ekonomia. Tre bona!

Ekde 'The Guardian': Kio ajn fariĝis Esperanton ("Whatever happened to Esperanto"). Ne estas nova tezo, sed ankoraŭ leginda.
Enthusiasts are attempting to reach a new generation with an initiative called Springboard to Languages - aimed at raising language awareness in schools at key stage two through the medium of Esperanto. It is often described as a useful "apprentice language" - in much the same way that learning the recorder helps with other instruments.
For an English speaker, Esperanto is supposed to be five times as easy to learn as Spanish or French, 10 times as easy as Russian and 20 times as easy as Arabic or Chinese. Then again, less internationally minded English folk will point out that speaking slowly and loudly in their native tongue is even easier still.
